A New Idea I Had
Hey All
Guess what? Since I am now on this funky blog train (drop it like it's hot), I have this idea. When I come on to post, I will ask one or maybe three question that I expect each and every one of you who view my blogs to answer. Ok? So here I go.
Who makes your desert island list? As in, what 11 people will you have on your desert (but yet comfortable and safe, with all your necessities provided) and what 5 material possesions are there with you?
I will answer this question myself once a sufficient number of people have answered.

Some qualifiers, please. Do these people have to be currently living, or can they be dead? Do I have to know them personally, or can it be someone I would like to meet?

See here is my thought...Jesus is God and God is ever present...so Jesus does not count in my numbers of people because he is hanging around anyways...plus he is always in my heart...so that is that...and A PRAYER FOR OWEN MEANY ROCKS! Best book ever
I can't say that I have read any other Irvings...in fact, the only reason that I came to love Owen Meany is because of grade 12 english class (my fav)

Alright, I've been thinking about this one long and hard. I want to have people on the island that I know will be fun to hang out with all the time all the time.
So, first up are Jenelle and Amy because I know for a fact that both of them are fun for just chillin' at the beach. I assume that we have ice cream there.
Obviously I'd bring Em, and she'd bring me (I think), so that's a no brainer.
Nel's gonna miss Graham like crazy if I don't invite him, so that's four.
Then I'd bring my George because I think he and I would have ze fun just talking. Plus he's dreamy. Five.
Because this is a magical island, it would restore my grandmother's health, and it would prevent my mom and my grandma from snarking on me the way they do when we spend too much time together. Seven.
My dad should come to, as the island will get him to stop smoking. Eight.
Not that I think Em would be lonely. But I should bring someone for her. Matt Good to be exact. Nine.
Amy can pick whomever she wants, as her extra person. Ten.
Now it's a toss up between my Nana and my grandfather. I miss them both, and my dad would love to have his mom back. My grandma would love to have her husband back. I guess she wins because my dad's been without his mom for a lot longer than my grandma's been without her spouse. Again, the magic island restores his health.

all channels, including free pay perview
2. Compy, with unlimited internet and downloading capabilities, so's I can
get all my music, old TV shows, and keep in touch with everyone off the
island
3. Deck of cards (we're nothing without our euchre, ladies)
4. shower/bathtub combo with hot water
5. guitar...no, I haven't learned to play. This one is actually for my
husband...and he can play it and sing to me...at night...at our fire...on
the
beach...mmmmmmmm
This island is mad stocked, yo. Super wired and with all amenities. So
basically it's like Tahiti, except with only 11 people and a cat.
Oh, campfire sing alongs are a must.

Do these men have good senses of humour? Because everyone thinks that they are funny, and very few of us actually are.
Yes of course they have a good sense of humour. I can't believe I forgot that one. Although being funny and having a good sense of humour are different things. Whatever. Oh. I want to add something to out scenario. We each get to pick 6 celebrities/famous people/people we have never met to join us on said island. Here's my list.
1.Allen Doyle (that's right I think the singer from Great Big Sea is sexy)
2.Julia Roberts. Just because I love her.
3.Heath Ledger. Need I say more.
4.Jonathan Larson. Because a man capable of writing something as amazing as RENT must be fantastic.
5.John Travolta. Because I hear he makes everyone feel like they are the only person on earth. Plus he can disco and disco is cool.
6.Julia Stiles. Because she is cool.
Looks like I like men again. Woot.
If Julia Roberts is on the island, I'm so leaving on a bamboo raft.
Geez, what does everyone have against Julia? Y'all are just jealous. Fine, Oprah instead of Julia, then.
Only if Oprah can except that she's not part divine because I sometimes think that she acts that way. Honestly, who gives a car?
I've been thinking celebrities, and I've already got George and Matt. That leaves openings for many, many more people that I enjoy.
